This Policy applies to the Kaloriq mobile and web application ("the App"). Kaloriq is operated by an individual rather than a company. References to "we" and "us" in this Policy are to that operator.

Account information: your first and last name, your email address, and your password. Passwords are stored only as a cryptographic hash and cannot be read by us.

Physical information: age, gender, height, weight, body fat percentage, and any body measurements you choose to record, including waist, chest, hips, arm, thigh and neck.

Health information: injuries, medical conditions, medications and allergies. These fields are optional and the App functions if they are left blank. Where provided, they are used to shape your plan and to identify exercises that may aggravate a recorded injury.

Preferences: your selected sport, training location, activity level, sleep hours, daily water target and unit system.

Activity records: workout sessions, including the exercises performed, sets, repetitions, loads, duration and estimated calories; meals logged, with their calorie and macronutrient values; water intake; and body weight recorded over time.

When you scan a meal, the photograph is transmitted to OpenAI for automated analysis and the resulting estimate is returned to the App. The photograph is not saved to our servers and is not stored in our database.

If you do not use the food scanner, no photograph is transmitted.

We use the information described above to create and secure your account, to generate workout and nutrition plans, to calculate calorie and macronutrient targets, to display your history and progress, and to identify exercises that may be unsuitable given an injury you have recorded.

We do not use your information for advertising or profiling.

OpenAI receives food photographs submitted to the scanner, for the purpose of analysis described in clause 3.

Our email service provider receives your email address in order to deliver verification and password reset codes. No other information about you is shared with it.

Our hosting and database provider stores data on our behalf and does not use it for its own purposes.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising. We may disclose information where we are required to do so by law.

The APP itself contains no third party analytics, advertising or crash reporting services.

The WEBSITE at kaloriq.in uses Google Analytics to measure visits. Google sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details, and may use them under its own privacy policy. This runs on the marketing site only — it is not present in the iOS or Android app, and it does not see your workouts, meals or measurements. You can block it with any ad blocker or by using your browser Do Not Track setting.

We count how many times the website was opened and how many times the sign-up button was pressed, as a daily total. These counters record no IP address, no device or browser information, no cookie and no identifier of any kind, and cannot be linked to you or to an account. They tell us how many, never who.

We retain your information for as long as your account exists.

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings screen. Deleting your account permanently removes your account record together with all associated workout plans, sessions, exercise records, diet logs, body measurements, progress entries and verification codes. This action cannot be reversed.

Backups taken before deletion expire in accordance with our ordinary backup cycle.

Data transmitted between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit. Passwords are stored as hashes and never as plain text. Access is authenticated by a token that expires after seven days, and repeated failed sign in attempts result in temporary account lockout.

No method of transmission or storage is entirely secure. In the event of a breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you.

You may access and correct your information within the App at any time, and delete all of it from the Settings screen. Health information may be withdrawn by clearing the relevant fields.

The App is not intended for persons under 18 years of age and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe that a person under 18 has registered an account, please contact us and we will remove it.

We may update this Policy from time to time. Where a change is material, we will give notice within the App. The date shown above indicates when the current version took effect.
